Osgoode Hall Law Union (OHLU)

The Osgoode Hall Law Union is a chapter of the Law Union of Ontario consisting of students committed to advocacy for social justice. We operate from a position that is anti-colonial, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, anti-capitalist, feminist, and is rooted in principles of disability justice and transformative justice. We call for abolishing prisons, LandBack, Free Palestine, and liberation for all who are oppressed by capitalism and colonialism. Recently we have facilitated student organizing for a safe and equitable return to campus, supported teaching assistants picketing with Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 3903, hosted panels on movement lawyering, organized a trip to the Yale Rebellious Lawyering Conference, and hosted movement defence/legal observer training. We are dedicated to collectively re-imagining law to create worlds and futures of care and liberation for all.
